VILLAGE OF DUNDEE and TOWN OF STARKEY

NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING UPON PROPOSED ANNEXATION                                                                                                                                                

 Please be advised, The Village of Dundee and the Town of Starkey, Each Having Been Served with a Copy of a Petition for Annexation Pursuant to Article 17 of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, Have Set a Joint Public Hearing Thereon

            Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Dundee, County of Yates, State of New York, jointly with the Town Board of the Town of Starkey, County of Yates, State of New York will be held at the Village of Dundee Village Hall, 12 Union St., Dundee, New York, on the 14th day of April, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. upon the petition for the annexation into the Village of Dundee of premises consisting of 9.7 unimproved acres on the easterly side of Dundee-Himrod Road,  being tax map parcel no: 113.04-1-5.3 which premises are presently owned by Faith Baptist Church.

If approved by each Board the effect will be to permit annexation of the subject premises into the Village of Dundee.  Those premises are presently located within the Town of Starkey, outside the limits of the Village of Dundee.  The territory proposed to be annexed is contiguous to the northerly boundary line of the Village.                                           

            All persons interested in this proposed annexation of territory into the Village of Dundee will be heard by the Board of Trustees and the Town Board at the Joint Public Hearing to be held as stated above.  

            Any person with a handicap wishing to attend and/or be heard at the public hearing should contact the Town Clerk’s Office at least five (5) business days prior to the date of the public hearing to request any special needs.

A copy of the Petition for Annexation may be examined at the Office of the Clerk of the Village of Dundee, 12 Union Street, Dundee, NY 14837 and the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Starkey, 40 Seneca Street, Dundee, NY 14837 during regular business hours.
